Meet Dr. Cordray
Dr. Cordray earned a bachelor degree in biology at Oral Roberts University. He attended Oklahoma State University for medical school. He completed a 5 year internship and residency at OSU.
Dr Cordray’s special interest is sinus disease in which he has been involved in cutting edge technology. He was among the first in the state to perform balloon sinuplasty. This is a minimally invasive way to treat chronic sinus disease. He also is a leader in, state of the art, painless office based sinus and nasal surgery. New technology allows pain free procedures in the office that open sinuses, straighten deviated nasal septum, alleviate nasal congestion and even remove nasal polyps.
Navigation technology now allows more complete and safer surgeries in the office. Navigation is like a GPS that tracks the instruments used in office surgery that utilizes the patient’s computerized scan (CAT scan) giving the doctor 3 views of the patient’s anatomy. While this was only available at the hospitals it is now available in Dr. Cordray’s office. The CT (CAT scan) used in his office given same day results and deliverers one third of the radiation of a typical scan completed at a hospital or outpatient center. This is much safer and allows closer follow up.
He also provides surgery for a variety of other diseases issues. Tonsillectomies, placement of ear tubes, repairing ear drums, surgery for obstructive sleep apnea and removing head and neck tumors are among the most common.
On a personal note, He is married to the love of his life, Laura. Together they have 6 wonderful children. He has been involved in medical missions in Africa, Asia, Central America and South America.
